The Can Am Junior Hockey League will crown its first-ever champion this week.
All six teams are going to Cold Lake for the Champions Cup tournament.
It starts today (Tuesday, April 5th) with the Edmonton Eagles taking on the Hinton Timberwolves at 2:30pm and then the Barrhead Bombers facing off with the Cold Lake Aeros at 7:30.
The Vegreville Vipers have to wait one more day to play their first game of the Champions Cup. Vegreville will battle the Edmonton Eagles at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 6th. The Vipers will then clash with the Hinton Timberwolves on Thursday at 2:30pm to round out the division stage of the tourney.
Hinton finished in 2nd place during the CAJHL regular season, while Vegreville was 4th and Edmonton was last in the six team league.
The other division will include the first place Cold Lake Areos, the third place Vernal Oilers and the fifth place Barrhead Bombers.
