Hockey Alberta’s Prospects Cup is coming up this week in Red Deer.
The top 160 male hockey players born in the year 2009 will be on the ice at the Gary W. Harris Centre from Thursday through Sunday.
The rosters were selected during four regional camps held last month in Vegreville, Olds, Calgary and Edmonton.
Zenith Komarniski from Vegreville is an assistant coach for Team North Blue. Team North Blue also includes forwards Hudson Lungal from Tofield and Adam Cutting from Fort Saskatchewan. Team North Grey features defenceman Reegan Boire from Fort Sask.
The Prospects Cup is the first step of the Hockey Alberta Development Program and it offers second year U-13 athletes, coaches, trainers and administrators an opportunity to discover the qualities of competitive hockey in a well-organized team tournament.
