Alberta’s Health Minister Jason Copping says 4,379 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the province during the past week based on a total of 21,906 tests.
According to the geospatial data on the alberta.ca website, 5 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Two Hills County during the past 7 days, there have been 7 in Lamont County and there has also been 7 in the Vegreville/Minburn County area.
There are currently 1,225 individuals in hospital in the province due to COVID-19, which is down by 42 from last week’s total. 37 of those patients are in intensive care units – that is down by 9 from last week.
70 new deaths related to the virus have occurred during the past week. Alberta’s total number of deaths due to COVID-19 during the pandemic is 4,391.
