The numbers shared on Wednesday (June 15th) cover the time period from June 7th to June 13th.
1,442 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the province during the past week based on a total of 10,980 tests.
According to the geospatial data on the alberta.ca website, 1 new case of COVID-19 has been reported in Lamont County during the past 7 days, 1 in Two Hills County, and 2 in the Vegreville/Minburn County area.
There are currently 719 individuals in hospital in the province due to COVID-19, which is down by 97 from last week’s total. 19 of those patients are in intensive care units – that is down by 5 from last week.
24 new deaths related to the virus have occurred during the past week. Alberta’s total number of deaths due to COVID-19 during the pandemic is 4,591.
