Premier Jason Kenney announced several changes to Cabinet yesterday in order to fill vacancies left by departing ministers.
Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre MLA Jason Nixon goes from being the Minister of Environment and Parks, as well as the Acting President of the Treasury Board and Minister of Finance to the President of the Treasury Board and Minister of Finance.
Whitney Issik moves from the Associate Minister of Status of Women portfolio to the Minister of Environment and Parks. Jackie Armstrong Homeniuk, the MLA for Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville, becomes the Associate Minister of Status of Women.
Matt Jones, the MLA for Calgary-South East, becomes Minister of Children’s Services. Prasad Panda switches from Minister of Infrastructure to the Minister of Transportation, while Nicholas Milliken, the MLA for Calgary-Currie takes over as the Minister of Infrastructure.
Brad Rutherford, the MLA for Leduc-Beaumont and Deputy Government Whip, becomes Chief Government Whip and Minister without Portfolio.
