The World’s Longest Hockey Game, an annual fundraising event for cancer research, is set to return once again this year. Brent Saik, owner of the Alberta Sports Vision Institute and organizer of the World’s Longest Hockey Game, says this year’s outing will be played by junior players aged 10 to 16.
The goal of this year’s event is to raise $500,000 in support of various cancer research organizations, with the funds going toward pediatric clinicals through the University of Alberta.
The World’s Longest Hockey Game will take place from January 25th to January 28th at Saiker’s Acres in Sherwood Park. For more information or to donate online, please visit www.worldslongesthockeygame.ca. Donations will also be accepted on site at the game.
